I'm finally caught up around the house, so of course, it's time to take on another project! I'm going to be making another quilt, this time for a new baby in the ward. I'm going to be using these fabrics from the Neptune collection by Tula Pink. You can see the entire collection here.
Now my big dilemna is what to do with this lovely fabric. I have two options between which I've been debating, and I'd love your opinions as to which way I should go.
Option #1 - 6 x 8" rectangles made with a center 2 x 4" strip with 2" sashing around. I'll be using white the same way this quilt does. Option #2 - 8 1/2" squares made with 4 1/2 " center squares with 2" sashing around. I'll be using white the same way this quilt does again. They're very similar, just a question of squares with a larger center or rectangles with a narrower center. Any thoughts? I'm excited to get started, but I just can't decide which way to go. Help!

Love the fabric! My opinion is option #1 with the rectangular centers. Either way it will be a timeless gift & memory for the lucky receiver. Good luck and hope you post the finish product.
I like the squares, but I also have an overly developed sense of order. . .
Squares. On the other hand, what am I doing giving opinions on quilts??!! AAAGH! What have I done with my life??!!!
Hi Brynn, I'm excited that you are making another quilt! You do such a great job. Dad and I vote for #1
We love you! give the kids a squeeze for us!!
I like #1 the best it seems more pleaseing to look at not quite as cofusing to me as the second one. You are so lucky to, I wish I had the time right now to work on some more of my quilts. I have been forbidden to go to the fabric store!!:)
I like the first one, because it's not quite regular. (Like me!)
I like #1. It's not quite as traditional. Good luck!
I like #1 also. Cute fabric!
