No, this advent calendar isn't three months late. It's nine months early! At least that's how I'm choosing to look at it. I started it a week before Thanksgiving, but with three kids under the age of four and an old sewing machine that did *not* like machine applique, I didn't finish the binding until last night. Oh, well. My machine and I are back on speaking terms after a little visit to the repair shop. And the advent calendar is completed in plenty of time for next Christmas :)I'm sorry for the not-so-fabulous pictures - our weather today is not-so-fabulous. I used Oh, Fransson's tutorial on Sew Mama Sew with Kate Spain's 12 Days of Christmas and Kona Cardinal, Azure, and Peridot. And I love it and am relieved it's done. My oldest has already picked out his favorite pockets for Santa to leave him candy (#3 because it's blue, #4 because that's how old he is now, and #11 because it has Santa on it). Now on to the next project!
Enjoy all the other lovelies at Sew & Tell Friday!

Very cool project! It's so neat that your son is already to lay claim to it! One more thing off your list for next Christmas!

Very cute! Way to be on top of your Christmas sewing!
That's a good idea! Gret some Xmas sewing out of the way now so there is less stress in December. The calendar is adorable! Great job!
Great finish! I think its great that it will be ready for next Christmas. One year my machine decided to play up right in the middle of Christmas present making. Urghhhh! Glad to hear you are back on speaking terms.
